  1. Preheat oven to 350 levels Fahrenheit. Grease and flour three 8″ cake pans.
  2. Cream butter and sugar in a stand mixer till gentle and fluffy, about 5 minutes.
  3. In a separate bowl whereas butter is creaming, whisk collectively flour, cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  4. In a small bowl or cup, whisk collectively buttermilk, vegetable oil, and vanilla.
